Short of the Week #1

Hey guys, here is this evenings blog.

So I stumbled across this documentary on my break at work and I found myself glued to my screen the whole time.

The story follows the journey of an MTA motorman who struggles to get his life together after a woman uses his train for suicide.

It was the use of narrative from the mans perspective and use informative facts complimented with stunning visuals to complete this mans story. This is what really captured me and made me want to share this with you all.

Director: Paul Stone  Genre: Documentary   Duration: 12mins

This documentary really changed my outlook on train suicide, I started thinking about how motormen really are the last people to witness such a suicide. That can really affect someone psychologically. The crew really is capture the theme and the story perfectly in this very well put together short and It was refreshing to see a documentary shot in such a way, using real suicide videos to really hit its audience! All in all a great short and if you have a spare moment check it out!

Thanks for reading,

Jordan
